Janice Pastorek RN BSN

Skin Procedures & Skin Care

A healthy appearance is intensely related to the condition of your skin. Whether or not you have surgery, careful and considerate skin care can vastly improve your appearance. Dr. Pastorek is fortunate to have his wife—Janice Pastorek, R.N., B.S.N.—as a partner in his aesthetic facial plastic surgery practice. She has dedicated many years understanding and advancing skin rejuvenation therapies and products that can complement post-operative results or provide patients with a non-invasive alternative to surgery.

Janice has been a consultant and adviser to physicians and beauty corporations around the world. The New York Academy of Medicine, American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, Unilever, Estee Lauder, Coty, Guerlain, Camay, and Vaseline Intensive Care are some of the companies and institutions that have sought her expertise as a consultant or educator. She collaborated with Estee Lauder on product development and physician instruction, worked as an instructor and adviser to Unilever-Dove, and has been featured on Lifetime television for her advances in skin rejuvenation techniques. She was the first scientific lecturer to be featured with a product launch for Guerlain.

In the rapidly evolving aesthetic field of medicine, Janice is always seeking new technologies and strategies for improving health. Many medical laser companies have recognized her passion, advancements, and innovations with light- and energy-based tools for skin rejuvenation. Janice speaks more often with the biochemist or laser engineer of a company than with their sales staff. Her work with Dusa Pharmaceuticals improved protocols for their photodynamic drug Levulan, which is used to treat sun-damaged and acne-prone skin. Coty sought her expertise in the development of skin care products. Janice and those products have been featured on the HSN television channel. She is a published author on skin care. Her chapter titled “Simple Solutions to Common Skin Problems” in Management of Facial Lines and Wrinkles was published by Lippincott, Williams, and Wilkins.
