Dr. Pastorek performs all aesthetic facial plastic surgery in an outpatient setting, although there are some minor cases he can do in his office. Most procedures are performed in the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Institute located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. This facility is highly experienced in outpatient surgery. Dr. Pastorek works with the same nurses, anesthesiologists, and other doctors who have been assisting him for many years. While surgical assistance is important in these delicate procedures, only Dr. Pastorek does the actual surgery: every suture to the final bandage.

The staff knows that his Operating Room is a reverently peaceful and quiet one. He wants everyone in the room focused on the surgery. He does not allow conversation that does not relate to the surgery. The music he uses as an adjunct to the anesthesia is soothing and calming. Dr. Pastorek wrote the initial scientific article in a peer-reviewed medical journal about the benefit of specific music for outpatient surgery.

If you’re a resident of New York Metro area or if you live within one to one-and-a-half hours of Dr. Pastorek’s office, you can return home following your discharge from the outpatient recovery area.
