Why truSculpt 3D Is a Top Choice For Fat Reduction

If diet and exercise alone aren’t giving you the results you want, you may still be able to get the figure you’ve always desired. Janice Pastorek, BSN, RN can give you the shape you want with a noninvasive truSculpt® 3D procedure.

What is truSculpt 3D?

TruSculpt 3D is a procedure that employs radiofrequency energy to heat and effectively split up fat cells in challenging areas, including your thighs, buttocks, and abdomen. And what’s more, once the fat cells have been destroyed, they will not regenerate. Your body eliminates them permanently.

The best candidate for a single truSculpt 3D treatment is someone who can pinch an inch of fat in the area he or she desires to be treated. If more than an inch of fat can be pinched, additional treatment may be necessary. Treatment of the body when there is more than an "inch of a pinch" would occur 12 weeks after the initial treatment.

How does truSculpt 3D work?

During your treatment, Janice Pastorek, BSN, RN uses a radiofrequency wand to break down fat cells in the targeted areas. This takes approximately 15-45 minutes. After the treatment, your body removes the cells by way of your lymphatic system. Then, over time, your body produces more collagen and elastin to help give your body a more chiseled appearance.

How can I prepare for treatment?

Preparation is simple. Prior to your appointment, we ask that you drink four 8 ounce glasses of water. Hydration is the key to best results with this device. You should also refrain from consuming anything caffeinated the day of your appointment as caffeine may intensify the level of heat you feel from the wand.

Will I experience any discomfort during my treatment?

TruSculpt 3D is minimally invasive, and no anesthesia or pain medication is needed during treatment. Patients often liken the experience to a hot stone massage. When you receive your treatment, your skin temperature will rise, but Janice Pastorek, BSN, RN will always make sure the temperature is not too high. Your comfort and care is his first priority. After your procedure, you could experience some redness in the treatment area, but this usually resolves in a few days.

What can I expect after treatment?

Following treatment, we ask that you continue to drink water the remainder of the day and we encourage you to take a brisk walk for 10 to 15 minutes. In some cases, we will provide a topical skin cream to encourage better skin tone and the reduction of fat.

You can expect to start seeing results at 4 to 7 weeks depending on the treatment area. The exception to this is the chin, or submental area, which can be treated every 3 to 4 weeks for up to three times for optimal results. It’s also important that you maintain a healthy diet and exercise regimen to retain your results.
