You don’t have to turn to synthetic ingredients to replenish lost volume in your face. With ezGEL, you can use your body’s own resources to fight the signs of aging.

The body has a remarkable ability to heal itself. And as medical research progresses, we’re getting better and better at harnessing those capabilities and aiming them to drive specific outcomes.

Those advances aren’t confined to the areas of physical healing, either. Increasingly, we know how to use the body’s regenerative capacity to help achieve aesthetic improvements.

We want to help our patients get access to the latest safe and proven treatments in this growing field. That’s why we offer a range of bio-regenerative aesthetic treatments at our offices on Manhattan’s Upper East Side in New York City and in Madison, Connecticut. Norman J. Pastorek, MD, Janice Pastorek, and our team have a number of ways we can use your body’s natural healing capabilities to help move you toward your cosmetic goals.

EzGEL serves as a perfect example.

ezGEL 101

With ezGEL, we build on a regenerative tool that doctors now deploy in a number of ways: platelet-rich fibrin (PRF). It’s a cousin of platelet-rich plasma (PRP), which you might have heard of because it’s increasingly used to treat injuries.

Both PRP and PRF start with a very small sample of your blood. With PRF, though, we use a centrifuge to spin the sample at a lower speed than PRP. This maintains the fibrin matrix of the sample so that we arrive at a solution that’s more like a gel than a liquid.

By injecting that PRF where you want to drive results, we stimulate your skin’s regenerative ability. The platelets in the fibrin matrix contain growth factors. Over time, that helps your skin to create more collagen and elastin. These proteins support your skin, helping to smooth lines and fight laxity.

Because this cosmetic injectable comes from your own blood, the risks of any complications are minimal. And it’s safe for use in any area of your face, including undereye hollows, which can be difficult to treat with other fillers.

The ezGEL difference

While PRF fillers are not necessarily new, ezGEL is different. Specifically, it offsets one of the disappointments that came with other PRF fillers: the filling was minimal. While the PRF could stimulate regeneration in the skin, it didn’t do a lot for volume loss.

EzGEL overcomes that issue because it combines the PRF with albumin, a protein in your plasma. This helps to enhance the contours of your face better than PRF alone.

As a result, our team can use ezGEL to:

  • Restore volume
  • Smooth lines
  • Improve facial contours

As the injectable stimulates collagen and elastin production in your skin, it adds volume and helps give you a more youthful appearance.

If you’re curious about making your own fillers using your body’s regenerative ability, don’t hesitate to ask our team about ezGEL. Call either of our offices or book your appointment online to set up a consultation today.
