What to expect during DENSITY RF treatment

You don’t need to do anything to prepare for your appointment, and we won’t need to use any anesthetic during it.

Throughout DENSITY RF treatment, you relax as a trained member of our team uses the applicator to send RF energy into your skin. One of the DENSITY RF frequencies penetrates to the deeper layers of your skin, while the frequency works on your superficial skin.

As the monopolar and bipolar radiofrequency goes to work, you might feel a gentle warming sensation. If your skin starts feeling too warm, tell us. DENSITY RF includes customizable cryogen cooling that we can adjust as needed.

If you want to treat the skin of your face, DENSITY RF usually takes 45 minutes or less. Larger body areas can take longer.

Immediately after treatment, you might notice some redness or warmth in the treated skin. That should fade within a few hours. Most people go right back to their day after their appointment. 

This is true no matter your skin tone. In fact, one study found that it delivered smoother, firmer, more contoured skin for people with darker skin tones.

You’ll typically notice some improvement in your skin right away. The true transformation from radiofrequency skin tightening comes with time, though.

The RF energy stimulates your skin to create more collagen and elastin. These proteins help to keep your skin tight and supple. Your body keeps making new elastin and collagen for about 3-6 months after your appointment. As a result, your results should improve throughout that time.
